my name is Jamie Watson the business manager and tax collector for Leon I see the reason of this video is to discuss how the proposed spawn a text homeowners that are 65 years or older and those that qualify for the over-65 extension the amount of your taxes the first year you qualify for the over 65 set the ceiling are your school tax bill therefore if you qualify for this exemption the proposed Bond will not increase your taxes in other words your property taxes on your home style will not increase even if the value have your property goes up or if there was a tax rate increase your property taxes are frozen if you qualify for the over-65 exemption homeowners that qualifies for this exemption the o we will your taxes will increase as if you add something new to your home stuff such as an additional living area a swimming pool or the additional storage building if you do add an addition to only the news stations will be added to your taxes and then value is refrozen I hope this helps your understanding of the over-65 as it relates to the proposed bond election thank you for your and God bless
