Leon ISD Student Application Privacy information
The SCOPE Act was enacted to specifically address the protection of minors from harmful, deceptive, or unfair trade practices related to the use of certain digital services and electronic devices—including those provided to students by public schools.
In essence, this statewide law mandates that Texas school districts safeguard children from harmful, misleading, or unfair trade practices related to specific digital services. It also strengthens student data privacy protections. Additionally, the legislation holds service providers accountable for restricting access to harmful or dangerous online content. Finally, the SCOPE Act requires that parents give consent for the use of such software and are kept well-informed about potential risks.
Below is the list of software resources used at Leon ISD. The district requests parents’ consent for software resources during the student registration process each year.
